Bon spot pour Paris, ne pas hésiter à demander aux personnes dans la station

First I stood closer to the gates where there's more space to pull over, but the Gendarmery told me to go in front of the highway sign (I guess, I don't speak French). It was still fine. Drivers will probably still stop right after the highway sign..
Used sign "Nantes".

Probably easy for Paris, but I wanted to go to Tours.
At least the staff had left the gate of their parking unlocked so it was easy to escape by foot.

Pretty decent place if you can get dropped of here, not so much if you have to walk to it.

It takes a long time to get to the station, we walked 35 min from Sarges Les Le Mans after 20min of bus from Le Mans trainstation but this spot is perfect ! A really big station si it was quite intimidating to ask people at first but the third person we asked took us and even brang us to the train station ( not on their road). It is hard to access but it’s worth the walk

Best spot to go to Paris but hard to access! I had to walk 1h from Zamenhof (there's a bus stop to the name of the founder of Esperanto lol) to arrive but this is really worth it cause once you're there you'll find very quickly a ride.

It was a monday so not a lot of traffic but still the best place to hitchhikke north I think.

For A28 North. Not possible to access on foot. Get any car going north from Le Mans and get dropped at that roundabout.

To Paris is ok. I waited 50 min. on Sunday afternoon and get a lift to a gas station next to Le Mans

A28 to South - Tours. Almost impossible. I waited here for more than 2 hours and got lift only to Château du Loir

Good place to go to Paris for sure ! I managed to get to Tours or Rennes a few times, with more or less 30min waiting time.

Coming from Lorient, going to Paris. I was droped off there by another driver. I waited directly close to the road toll (peage) behind the safety barrier. If you wanna go to Paris, I think it's better if you can convince someone to take you to the gas station at the Aire de La Sarthe-Sargé Le Mans which is a bit more far still at Le Mans but directly on the A11 to go to Paris.

Manged to access site on foot. Then had to wait 1 hour 23 minutes for my first ride- on the plus side, it went all the way to Paris; on the minus side, the driver charged me 30 euros for the journey.

Good spot to Bretagne, Angers, Mont-Saint-Michel... ;) 10 mins pour un trajet direct très agréable à Rennes.

If you want to reach the south through the A28, it seems to be ok but remember the A28 isn't a crowded motorway. In summer, we didn't wait for a car to Tours, someone took us for a lift in less than 2 minutes. If you want to continue on the A85, you better wait for the good car on the A28toll station before Tours
